Vote for Nardwuar!
Help The Human Serviette score a gig hosting the 2009 Juno Awards
Anthony Augustine

Vote for Nardwuar!Nardwuar for the Junos
nardwuarforthejunos.blogspot.com - Although he may not be as well-known as some of the other past hosts of the Junos, few people champion the Canadian indie-music scene like Vancouver's gonzo-journalist, Nardwuar. Along with his encyclopedic knowledge of rock 'n' roll, Nardwuar hosts a weekly radio show on Vancouver station CiTR, has a monthly column in Chart Magazine, and is a regular on MuchMusic. With a grassroots campaign already underway to get the popular West Coaster to host the Junos in 2009, you can follow Nardwaur's quest on this recently launched blog. If you're on Facebook, make sure to join the Nardwaur group and help spread the word.

Ghosts
http://ghosts.nin.com/ - In an ongoing effort to throw a monkey wrench into the system, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has decided to release his new instrumental album digitally. While he didn't exactly pull a Radiohead, Reznor has taken an idea or two from that band. Along with offering various price points and download options, Reznor has also uploaded nine tracks to various BitTorrent sites such as Pirate Bay.

Henry Rollins
http://21361.com/website/COTM/ - Henry Rollins is a musician, publisher, writer and talk-show host who came out of the West Coast hardcore punk scene of the early 1980s. In a series of video blogs he has uploaded to his site, you get a candid look at the day-to-day life of one of the most outspoken people around (and a preview of his March 16 spoken-word gig at the Theatre formerly known as the Walker).

Quick Hits

MP3 of the Week: The Breeders
tinyurl.com/yrnjb6 - With no new music from The Pixies on the horizon, fans will have to settle for a new record from Kim Deal's side project, The Breeders. Set for release on April 8, Mountain Battles is the fourth Breeders album and first since 2002. While the band has already leaked some of the songs through its MySpace page, Stereogum has made one track available for download.

Video of the Week: Gnarles Barkley
tinyurl.com/2ymfbk - Banned by MTV because it may cause seizures, there's no word yet if Gnarles Barkley's new video, Run, will get any airtime on MuchMusic.

Site of the Week: 10 Worst Urban Myths
tinyurl.com/33hd3g - Here's a look at some strange urban legends, from the one that says KFC breeds headless chickens to the one which insists blondes are going extinct.
