Anonymous Lawyer
There are a host of TV shows about lawyers, but none
of them comes close to the wit and sarcasm you’ll find in this blog.

Anonymous Lawyer— www.anonymouslawyer.blogspot.com
— There are a host of TV shows about lawyers, but none
of them comes close to the wit and sarcasm you’ll find
in this blog. According to the writer, being a successful
lawyer is about “fooling clients into believing (we)
have some real expertise and using fear and manipulation to
extort excessive hourly fees.” If you’ve ever
had to shell out a bunch of cash for legal fees, you’ll
quickly become a dedicated reader of this blog.
Wikihow— www.wikihow.com
— Wikipedia has become the default reference tool on
the web, and other user-generated sites are becoming increasingly
prevalent. Wikihow is quickly becoming a valuable tool for
anyone looking for information ranging from how to crack a
coconut to how to hold a successful garage sale, and 10,000
articles have already been created and reviewed by users of
the site.
Interweb Medley— www.studiohunty.com/interweb
— If you have an e-mail address you’ll probably
recognize some of these songs from forwarded viral videos
like Numa Numa Dance, All Your Base Are Belong to Us and The
Hampster Dance. This messy mashup of “12 of the interweb’s
catchiest songs” probably won’t make it into your
digital music collection but is still worth a quick listen.
Predictfork— predictfork.blogspot.com
— Chicago-based Pitchfork Media is part of the
first wave of content-rich websites that have carved out their
own place in cyberspace over the past five years. More than
just an e-zine, the site has become a powerful force within
the music industry. In the past, magazines such as Spin and
Rolling Stone were the cultural tastemakers, but their influence
has been waning as the web gains more and more popularity.
A good review in Pitchfork carries a lot of weight, even if
most artists don’t want to admit it. Recently launched,
Predictfork is a clever blog that attempts to predict the
ratings upcoming albums will receive from Pitchfork. While
other sites have tried to poke holes in Pitchfork’s
wordy review style,
TMZ — www.tmz.com
— Best known for recently breaking the Mel Gibson
drunk-driving story, TMZ is less embarrassing to read than
Star or the National Enquirer.
Jackson Pollock— jacksonpollock.org
— You don’t need to be a pro with Paint or
have a degree in fine arts to use this simple Flash-based
Jackson Pollock simulator. If you like what you’ve created,
you can print it on some glossy paper, frame it and try to
pass it off as something you picked up on a recent trip to
New York.
