Plug In ICA's annual fundraiser is a raffle opportunity to win an original painting  by internationally acclaimed Winnipeg artist Wanda Koop. Proceeds from this raffle will support Plug In's award-winning  programming. The painting itself is an untitled 2006 acrylic-on-canvas piece depicting clouds in abstract, in brilliant orange and white. It  measure 92 x 122 cm and is valued at $15,000. Only 1,200 tickets have been printed for  the raffle. They are on sale for $40 each or 3 for $100 at Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art, located in the Buhler Centre at 460 Portage Ave. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the Plug In Art Book Shop is open noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The raffle draw will be held at 5 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 12 at Plug In. Koop's career as an artist spans almost four decades. She has been the recipient of many honours including the Japanese Fund Award, the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and  honorary degrees from the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg, and the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She has had over 50 solo exhibitions in Canada, Europe, India, China, Japan and Brazil and her work is in major public and private collections internationally. She is also a member of the Order of  Canada.
