Trailer Trash Tracys

Ester(Domino/Double Six)

Our Rating: star star star

London U.K. hipster quartet Trailer Trash Tracys are not to be confused with ‘90s-vintage Scottish pop boys The Trash Can Sinatras, but they will likely share the same kind of unremarkable career trajectory. Pulling their sound from a mix of Raveonettes-like, David Lynchian sombre new wave, these gloomy souls are a perfect complement to The Domino Records roster. Singer Susanne Aztoria sounds like she is singing from the back of a deep, unhappy cavern while the band delivers a wash of sounds that bubble and boil and even grasp yr attention for moments at a time. It’s all broody and English thank you very much, but it's not anything you haven’t heard before — and better.
