CD Reviews
One of the buzzier indie bands of the year, Honeehonhee’s aptly titled Shouts opens with just that — and doesn’t let up for the next 29 minutes. Over eight tracks, this Montreal five piece explodes onto your stereo, filling the gap left by Wolf Parade that no Spencer Krug solo project could ever fill. The recording has a distinct high quality/lo-fi feel to it, with synths that blast like lasers (A. Is for Animal) and the catchy-as-fuck vocals of Jumpstart My Heart. This is your new favourite band, whether you know it or not.
